WhatsApp chatbots for Israeli businesses — answer, book and hand off to your team

Your customers already write to you on WhatsApp. A WhatsApp chatbot replies on your business number at any hour, books them in and passes the chat to a person when it should.

  • Built on the official WhatsApp Business API
  • Hebrew, English and Russian
  • A person can take over any chat
In short

What is a WhatsApp chatbot, and what do we build?

A WhatsApp chatbot is an automated assistant that replies to customers on your business number through the official WhatsApp Business API. DDreamLab, a software company in Netanya, builds bots that answer from information you approve, in Hebrew, English or Russian, book appointments and take requests inside the chat, save them to your calendar or CRM, and hand the conversation to your team when a person is needed.

Sound familiar?

What goes wrong when WhatsApp is handled by hand?

  • “Sorry for the late reply” — sent at 22:40

You're with a client, on a job or behind the counter, and the phone keeps buzzing. By the time you get to the messages in the evening, some of those customers have already booked with whoever answered first.

  • The same questions, in three languages

How much is it? Are you open on Friday? Is there parking? Is it kosher? The same questions arrive every day — in Hebrew, then in Russian, then in English — and somebody types the answer by hand every single time.

  • Shabbat and holidays leave a pile of unread chats

Customers keep writing from Friday afternoon until Shabbat is over, while nobody is at work. On Sunday morning the team starts with a backlog instead of new work, or those requests are simply lost. And if your business keeps Shabbat, that has to be respected too.

  • The business lives on one person's phone

Chats sit on the owner's or an employee's personal phone. Nobody else can see what was promised, bookings end up in a notebook or an Excel sheet, and when that person goes on vacation or leaves, the history leaves with them.

How it works

How we build your WhatsApp bot

  1. We start from your real questions

You send us typical chats or a list of frequent questions and tell us what should happen next: a booking, a quote, a callback. Together we decide what the bot answers on its own and what always goes to a person.

  2. We design the conversation

We write the bot's flows and rules in Hebrew and in the other languages you need: greeting, answers, follow-up questions, where buttons help, when to hand off. You approve the wording before anything goes live.

  3. We set up WhatsApp with Meta

We connect your number to the WhatsApp Business API, sort out the display name and business verification where Meta requires it, and submit the message templates for confirmations and reminders for Meta's approval.

  4. We connect your tools and test

The bot gets access to your calendar, CRM, Google Sheets or order system, often through n8n or a direct API. Your team tries to break it on a test number with real scenarios, and we fix whatever they find.

  5. We launch step by step

A careful start: after hours only, or a single flow such as booking. In the first weeks we read the conversation logs and correct weak answers, and only then widen the bot's role.

  6. We stay with you after launch

Prices, hours and services change, and the bot has to change with them. We update its information, add flows, keep up with Meta's rule changes and review what customers ask and where the bot handed off.

What you get

  • The WhatsApp Business API on your number, with a display name, business verification where needed and approved message templates
  • A bot that answers from your approved information in Hebrew, English and Russian, with other languages on request
  • Booking, order or lead flows that write straight to your calendar, CRM or Google Sheets
  • Handoff to your team: a shared inbox or an alert to the right person, with the whole conversation attached
  • Confirmations and reminders through approved templates, sent at the times you choose
  • A conversation log: what customers asked, what the bot answered and where it passed the chat on
  • Documentation of the flows and settings, so the setup doesn't depend on one person
Use cases

Typical scenarios for Israeli businesses

  • Beauty studio or clinic

The bot shows free slots, books, moves and cancels appointments in the chat, sends a reminder the day before and, if you take deposits, a payment link. A client who can't make it cancels with one reply, and the slot opens up for someone else. For clinics we stick to booking and reminders: anything that touches medical information gets a legal check first.

  • Restaurant or event venue

Guests ask about a table for Thursday, the menu or a private event. The bot collects the date, time and number of guests, and for events the occasion and preferences, then passes a ready request to the manager.

  • Contractor, technician or renovation company

Instead of “can you come and take a look?”, the bot asks for the city, a photo of the problem and a convenient time, creates a lead in your CRM and alerts the right technician. You call back already knowing what the job is.

  • Online shop

“Where's my order?” and “how do I return this?” get answered from your order system. Complaints, damaged items and anything unusual go straight to a person, with the order number already in the chat.

In detail

What WhatsApp charges in 2026 — and how we design around it

WhatsApp Business API messages are billed by Meta, separately from our work. Since 2025 Meta has charged per delivered message, and the price depends on the category: marketing, utility, authentication or service. Messages customers send you are not charged, and each one opens a 24-hour customer service window. Meta has announced that from October 2026 it will also bill service replies beyond a free monthly allowance per number, as well as utility templates sent inside that window. Rates differ by country and change over time, so we don't print them here: on a call we'll show you Meta's current rates for Israel and estimate your monthly bill.

  • Answers go out inside the open window, while the customer is still in the conversation, not as paid templates later
  • One complete message instead of five short ones, since every delivered message may count
  • Reminders and confirmations as utility templates, sent only where they are really needed
  • Promotional messages only to customers who agreed to receive them, as Meta's rules and Israel's anti-spam law (section 30A of the Communications Law) require
  • Chats that start from a click-to-WhatsApp ad or your Facebook page button get a longer free window, which is worth using if you advertise
  • A monthly count of messages by category, so you can see where the bill comes from
In detail

When the bot hands the chat to your team

The bot introduces itself as a bot and never pretends to be a person. You decide where its job ends: when a customer asks for a human, when there's a complaint, when a question falls outside the approved topics, or when a deal is big enough that you want to handle it yourself. Whoever takes over sees the whole conversation, not just the last message, and can hand the chat back to the bot when they're done.

  • A customer asks for a person, and the chat moves to your team with no menu loops
  • Outside working hours the bot collects the details and tells the customer when your team will get back to them, based on the hours you set
  • Routing by topic or language: Russian speakers to the colleague who speaks Russian, events to the manager
  • A short summary for the staff member in the language they prefer, even if the customer wrote in Hebrew
  • Shabbat and holidays: full service, a short message or silence until Shabbat is over, whichever you choose
  • Refunds, discounts and exceptions always need a person's approval
Built and run by us

Booking logic we already run in our own product

Instead of logos and testimonials, here is something you can check yourself: Sconnect, our own restaurant showcase at sconnect.co.il, with venue pages, live menus, table booking and event requests, built and run by us. A WhatsApp booking bot needs the same core: real availability, the guest's details, a clear confirmation and a record your team can see. The chat at the top of this page is a demo, not a client's bot.

Process

How a project with us runs

The same four steps, whether it's a bot, an integration or a whole system.

  1. Short call

You tell us what's slowing you down and how you work today. We ask questions — and if a ready-made tool fits, we'll say so.

Your partDescribe the task in your own words

  2. Written proposal

Scope, stages and a cost estimate in writing, including who owns the code, the accounts and the data.

    Your partReview, ask questions, decide

  3. Build in stages

You see working parts early and try them on real cases. Your feedback goes straight into the next stage.

    Your partTest and give feedback

  4. Launch and support

We launch, watch how it behaves in real use and stay on for fixes and improvements.

Your partUse it and tell us what to improve

Cost and timeline

What the cost depends on

  • How many flows: answering questions only, or also booking, orders and lead qualification
  • Which systems the bot connects to (calendar, CRM, order system, payments) and whether they have an API
  • Languages: Hebrew only, or also Russian, English and others
  • How much free text the bot must understand, versus guiding customers with buttons
  • Your number: a new one, or an existing number moving over from the WhatsApp Business app
  • Message volume, which drives the running costs (Meta's fees and AI usage), kept separate from development
  • The level of support you want after launch

We don't publish prices, because two “WhatsApp bots” can have almost nothing in common. After a short call we send a written estimate with development and monthly running costs listed separately. Call or message us on 050-854-2579.

Trust

Ownership, privacy and accessibility

  • Your code and data

Ownership of the code and data is agreed in writing before we start: who owns the source code, the accounts and the information is in the agreement — not something you find out at the end.

  • Privacy by design

We build with Israel's Privacy Protection Law and Amendment 13 in mind: we collect only what's needed, keep secrets on the server and agree with you where the data is stored.

  • Accessibility built in

Interfaces built with IS 5568 and WCAG AA in mind: keyboard navigation, contrast, screen-reader labels and right-to-left layouts.

FAQ

Questions about WhatsApp chatbots

How much does a WhatsApp chatbot cost?

It depends on the number of flows, the systems it connects to and the languages it speaks. There are two parts: building the bot, and monthly running costs such as Meta's per-message fees, AI usage and hosting. If a ready-made WhatsApp bot platform covers what you need, we'll tell you on the first call, because that may be the better deal for you. Otherwise you get a written estimate.

How long does it take to launch?

It depends less on code than on three things: how quickly your content is ready (answers, prices, hours), how many systems we connect, and Meta's review of your business and message templates, which we don't control. A bot with one flow, such as answering questions and booking, goes live sooner than one wired into several systems. We give you a timeline after the first call.

Can we keep our current WhatsApp number?

Usually, yes. Depending on the setup, the number either moves fully to the WhatsApp Business API, and your team then replies from a shared inbox instead of the phone app, or, where Meta allows it, keeps working in the WhatsApp Business app alongside the bot. Some businesses prefer a separate new number. We check your situation and explain what changes before anything is switched.

How good is the bot's Hebrew, and does it speak Russian?

Current AI models handle everyday Hebrew well, including typos, slang and Hebrew mixed with English, but they are not perfect. That's why we test the bot on your real chats before launch and you approve the wording. The bot replies in the language the customer writes in: Hebrew, Russian, English, or other languages if your customers need them.

What if the bot doesn't know the answer or gets it wrong?

It happens with any AI, so we plan for it. The bot answers only from information you approved; when a question falls outside it, the bot says so and passes the chat to a person instead of guessing. Anything outside the rules you set, such as a special price, waits for someone on your team. Every conversation is logged, and after launch we review the logs and fix weak answers.

Where are conversations stored, and who owns them?

The WhatsApp Business account is set up under your own business's Meta account, and conversations and leads are saved where you already work: your CRM, Google Sheets or a database in your own cloud account. Before building, we agree on what is stored, where and for how long, with Israel's Privacy Protection Law (Amendment 13) in mind. Medical or other sensitive data gets a legal check first.
