Restaurant booking systems and software from the team behind MenuPlus and Sconnect

Table bookings from your website and WhatsApp against real availability, a menu guests can read in their own language, and event requests that don't disappear into a chat thread. Start with a product that already works; if it isn't enough, we build restaurant software around your venue.

  • MenuPlus and Sconnect: our own live products
  • Hebrew, English, Russian and more for your guests
  • A ready product or a custom system, whichever fits
In short

What is a restaurant booking system, and what do we build?

A restaurant booking system takes table reservations from your website, venue page or WhatsApp by your rules (hours, seating areas, party size), sends each guest a confirmation and shows the shift who is coming tonight. DDreamLab, a software company in Netanya, runs two restaurant products of its own: MenuPlus, a QR menu where guests order in their language, and Sconnect, venue pages with table booking. For restaurant groups, event venues and unusual workflows, we build custom restaurant software.

Sound familiar?

Where do restaurant bookings get lost?

  • The phone rings when the room is full

Thursday, 8:30 pm. The host is seating a couple, a waiter is waiting for her with a question, and the phone by the register rings again. Nobody picks up, and the caller books somewhere else. The hours when it's hardest to answer are exactly when most people try to book.

  • A notebook, the owner's WhatsApp and two more apps

Some bookings come by phone, some to the owner's personal WhatsApp, some as Instagram DMs and some through a booking platform. On Friday morning nobody knows exactly how many covers are coming tonight, and every so often the same table gets promised to two parties.

  • A table for six, held all evening, and nobody came

They booked two weeks ago, nobody reminded them, and cancelling felt like too much effort. The table sat empty through the best hour of the week while walk-ins waited at the door.

  • A printed menu that doesn't speak your guest's language

Tourists, new olim and Russian speakers are handed a Hebrew menu, so the waiter translates dish by dish and answers the same questions about gluten, nuts and kashrut all night. And the moment a price changes or a dish comes off, the printed menu is wrong.

How it works

How it works: a ready product or a system of your own

  1. A short call about your restaurant

Tell us how bookings reach you now, who answers the phone, what seating areas you have, how you handle events and which POS you use. On that first call we'll tell you whether MenuPlus or Sconnect covers what you need, or whether you need something else.

  2. Ready product: set up with your menu

If a ready product fits, we set it up together with your dishes, prices, kashrut and allergen labels, and prepare the table QR codes or your venue page. You review everything and sign off before a single guest sees it.

  3. Your own system: rules first, code second

For a group or an unusual workflow, we write down the rules before building anything: seating times, minimum party size for events, when a deposit is required, who approves a large booking, what the host sees and what the owner sees. You get a first version to try before it goes near a real shift.

  4. Connections: WhatsApp, payments and your POS

We connect confirmations and reminders by WhatsApp or email, card payments for deposits, and Google Sheets if that's where you track things today. A link to your POS or kitchen printer depends on the POS company and what its API allows, so we check with the vendor before committing to it.

  5. A quiet first night, then the weekend

We walk your hosts and shift managers through it and go live on an ordinary weeknight, not a Thursday. Whatever doesn't hold up in real service gets fixed before the rush arrives.

  6. After launch: seasons, holidays, new menus

A summer menu, holiday hours, a new branch, a dish that's retired: we stay on, update the system and add what running the restaurant turns out to need.

What you get

  • Table booking by your rules: hours, seating areas, party size and table turn times
  • A restaurant website with online booking, a booking form on your existing site or a venue page on Sconnect, in Hebrew and other languages
  • A confirmation and reminder for each guest by WhatsApp or email, with an easy way to cancel or change
  • A screen for the host and shift manager: who's coming, how many covers, and notes like allergies, birthdays or a high chair
  • A menu in the guest's language with kashrut and allergen labels, in MenuPlus or as part of your own system
  • Event requests with date, headcount and preferences, plus a card deposit if you want one
  • A waitlist for full nights and an owner's view of bookings by night and by branch
Use cases

What this looks like in Israeli restaurants

  • A seafront restaurant full of tourists

On the seafront in Netanya, Tel Aviv or Eilat, many guests can't read Hebrew. With MenuPlus they scan the QR code at the table, read the menu in their own language, see the allergen labels and order, and the order goes to the kitchen. Your waiters get back to serving instead of translating.

  • A restaurant group with several branches

One menu managed centrally, with prices and dishes that vary by branch, and one booking system where each manager sees their own branch and the owners see all of them. At this point you need a system built around how your group actually works, not an off-the-shelf product.

  • A restaurant with a private events room

A bar mitzvah, a company dinner, a milestone birthday. Instead of a long WhatsApp thread, the guest fills in a request with the date, headcount and preferred menu, the manager approves it and sends a deposit link, and every detail stays in one place until the night itself.

  • A bar that wants to fill early weeknights

Sunday at 7 pm and plenty of empty tables. On Sconnect you can offer hot tables at a discount on your venue page and fill the quiet hours specifically, without cutting prices for everyone.

In detail

MenuPlus, Sconnect or a system of your own?

Not every restaurant needs development. Most of the time the right move is to start with a product that already works and build only what's missing. This is how we decide with you:

  • MenuPlus, when the problem is the menu: guests who can't read Hebrew, prices that keep changing, questions about kashrut and allergens, and orders that should go straight from the table to the kitchen
  • Sconnect, when you want a venue page with a live menu and prices, table booking, discounted hot tables and event requests
  • A custom system for a group with several branches, an event venue with deposits and cancellation terms, or when your POS and existing tools have to be connected
  • A booking assistant on WhatsApp or the phone can be added to any of these, handing the conversation to your staff when a person is needed
  • If a ready product covers most of what you need, we'll say so, even when that means a smaller project for us
In detail

Shabbat, holidays and kashrut, built into the booking rules

Restaurants in Israel run on their own calendar, and booking tools designed abroad don't always account for it. A system built for you can know that in advance, so nobody has to remember to change settings at midday on Friday:

  • Kosher restaurants: bookings close before Shabbat begins and reopen when it ends, based on the times in your city
  • Holiday eves: special hours, a holiday menu and early closing, all set up in advance for the whole year
  • Passover: a kosher-for-Passover menu that replaces the regular one on the dates you choose and switches back afterwards
  • Messages to guests go out only during the hours you approve, never in the middle of Shabbat
  • Dairy, meat, parve and allergens marked next to every dish, so guests don't have to ask the waiter
Built and run by us

Two restaurant products we built and run ourselves

You won't find client logos or numbers you can't verify here. What you will find are two of our own products for restaurants in Israel, live and open for you to look at right now. MenuPlus at menuplus.co.il is a QR menu where guests order in their own language and the order reaches the kitchen; it has kashrut and allergen labels and works in six languages. Sconnect at sconnect.co.il has venue pages with live menus and prices, table booking, discounted hot tables and event requests. The screen at the top of this page is a demo, not a client's restaurant.

  • MenuPlus

    QR menu · Restaurants

A QR menu for Israeli restaurants: guests order in their own language, straight to the kitchen. Kosher labels, allergens, six languages.

  • Sconnect

    Restaurant showcase

Venue pages with live menus and prices, table booking, hot tables at a discount and event requests.

Process

How a project with us runs

The same four steps, whether it's a bot, an integration or a whole system.

  1. Short call

You tell us what's slowing you down and how you work today. We ask questions — and if a ready-made tool fits, we'll say so.

Your partDescribe the task in your own words

  2. Written proposal

Scope, stages and a cost estimate in writing, including who owns the code, the accounts and the data.

    Your partReview, ask questions, decide

  3. Build in stages

You see working parts early and try them on real cases. Your feedback goes straight into the next stage.

    Your partTest and give feedback

  4. Launch and support

We launch, watch how it behaves in real use and stay on for fixes and improvements.

Your partUse it and tell us what to improve

Cost and timeline

What the cost depends on

  • The route: a ready product like MenuPlus or Sconnect, or a system built for you
  • How many branches and seating areas, and which booking types: tables, private events, a waitlist
  • Your booking rules: seating times, minimum party size, deposits and cancellation terms
  • Connections: WhatsApp, card payments, your POS and kitchen printer, and whether they have an open API
  • Languages: menu and forms in Hebrew only, or also in Russian, English, French and others
  • Design: a venue page on an existing template, or a fully branded website
  • Support after launch: menu updates, seasons, holidays and new branches

We don't publish prices, because "restaurant software" can mean a QR menu for one café or a booking system for a whole group. After a short call we send a written estimate with development and monthly running costs listed separately. Call or message us on 050-854-2579.

Trust

Ownership, privacy and accessibility

  • Your code and data

Ownership of the code and data is agreed in writing before we start: who owns the source code, the accounts and the information is in the agreement — not something you find out at the end.

  • Privacy by design

We build with Israel's Privacy Protection Law and Amendment 13 in mind: we collect only what's needed, keep secrets on the server and agree with you where the data is stored.

  • Accessibility built in

Interfaces built with IS 5568 and WCAG AA in mind: keyboard navigation, contrast, screen-reader labels and right-to-left layouts.

FAQ

Questions about restaurant software

How much does a restaurant booking system cost?

It depends first on the route: a ready product such as MenuPlus or Sconnect, or a system built for you. For a custom system, the price comes down to the number of branches, your booking rules, the connections (WhatsApp, card payments, POS) and the languages. WhatsApp message fees and card processing fees go to those providers, separately from development. After a short call you get a written estimate.

How soon can we start taking bookings?

With a ready product, it mostly depends on how quickly your menu is ready: dishes, prices, translations, kashrut and allergen labels. With a custom system, it also depends on the scope, the connections and Meta's review of your WhatsApp message templates, which we don't control. You can also start with one part, such as table booking, and add the rest later. You get a detailed timeline after the first call.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. The MenuPlus menu opens in the browser after scanning the QR code, and table booking works from a link on your website, your venue page, your Instagram bio or WhatsApp. That matters most for tourists and older guests, who won't install an app for one meal. The systems we build also run in the browser, so a tablet or computer you already have is enough at the host stand.

Will it connect to our POS and kitchen printer?

That depends on the POS. Some expose an API for receiving orders, some require the vendor's approval, and some don't allow any connection at all. Before committing, we check with the POS company what is actually possible. If there's no direct connection, we'll tell you upfront and suggest what will work in your kitchen, rather than build a link that breaks in the middle of service.

What if an AI assistant on WhatsApp or the phone gets a booking wrong?

It can happen, which is why the assistant doesn't make up availability: it books only what the system shows as free, and reads the details back to the guest (date, time, party size) before confirming. Large groups, events and unusual requests go to a person on your team. Every conversation is logged, and after launch we read through them and fix weak answers.

Who owns the guest list, and can we send guests promotions?

The guest list belongs to the restaurant, and in a system built for you it's stored in your own account. Before development we agree on what is stored and for how long, with Israel's Privacy Protection Law and its Amendment 13 in mind. Booking confirmations and reminders are part of the service; marketing messages, like a holiday offer, go only to guests who opted in, as section 30A of the Communications Law requires.
